Our last night in New Orleans

About 7:30 or so we left for our last meal in the Big Easy. Dinner was at the Gumbo Shop, a neat little bistro in the French Quarter. Jeannie ordered shrimp etouffee and I had gumbo, both were excellent. You can tell we are true fans of bayou cuisine, when our server asked what we would like for dessert, we decided to share an order of shrimp creole. After a long walk through the Vieux Carre we are back in the hotel room and looking forward to Austin.
